Eero Aarnio is one of the most celebrated furniture designers of the twentieth century. Credited with an array of distinct and visually striking designs, Aarnio has helped establish Finland in the international design market.
Over the career that spans five decades, Aarnio has created a variety of notable pieces including the Ball, Pastilli, Bubble, Pony and Tomato chairs.
One of Aarnio's most recent designs is the Double Bubble lamp series including two table lamps and one sculptural standing lamp. Initially created from blown glass, the lamp was ultimately cast in plastic to ensure durability and uniform light emission.
Eero Aarnio's designs have been used in international films, music videos and fashion shoots. His works are part of the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, and Vitra Design Museum in Weil am Rhein.
